GERRY THOMPSON
AWS , NWWS, CSPWC, SFCA, UFV (dip), ARCT Award winning artist British Columbia artist, Gerry Thompson, has painted all of her adult life. She became hooked on painting the first time she picked up a brush. She received her formal training in art at the University of the Fraser Valley and the Western Washington University. In addition, she is an accomplished musician and is an Associate of the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto, Ontario. Gerry’s paintings are found in corporate and private collections throughout the world. Among her many awards and accomplishments are the Federation of Canadian Artists’ Bronze Medal, the Canadian Society of Painters in Water Colour’s Doris McCarthy award, as well as awards from the Northwest Watercolor Society. She is a Signature Member of these societies and the American Watercolor Society. Preparing for her summer 2019 exhibition at Silk Gallery has been one of the joys of her life. |
SANDY TERRY
SFCA, SCA Sandy Terry has won numerous awards in prestigious juried shows. She is a Signature Member of The Federation of Canadian Artists and The Society of Canadian Artists. Her paintings are in private collections in Canada and the United States. Originally from northern New Jersey, Sandy was inspired to create by having rich exposure to galleries, museums and theater in the cultural hub of the NJ/NYC area. She came to central Canada as an exchange student while attending University and currently embraces the West Coast of British Columbia as her home. Every day she delights in the abundant natural beauty surrounding her! Painting florals mirrored her own flowering as an artist, following years of sparking children’s imaginations, as a teacher within the Public School System. |
